आओ बढ़ाएं अपने कदम हरित यात्रा की ओर

‘एक क्षण लें।

ध्यान का एक क्षण, बोध का क्षण।

देवदार के जंगलों में राहत की सांस लें और अपने विचारों को आगे बढ़ाएं

हमारा राज्य प्राकृतिक रुप से कितना समृद्ध होगा यदि हम इसके लिए जिम्मेदार प्रकृति संरक्षक यात्री बन जाएँ

वनस्पतियों और जीवों में समृद्ध प्राकृतिक क्षेत्र  स्थानीय आजीविका को बनाए रखने में मदद करते हैं!’

यह हमेशा किसी के लिए भी मेरा सामान्य उत्तर है जो यह जानने के लिए उत्सुक हैं कि, उत्तराखंड में ईको टूरिज्म (पारिस्थितिकिवाद) को कैसे प्रचारित किया जा सकता है। इसका उत्तर सरल प्रतीत होता है क्योंकि यह वास्तव में सम्भव नहीं है अगर व्यक्तिगत रूप से कार्रवाई की जाती है। यदि सभी मिलकर एक साथ प्रयास करते हैं यह सबसे सरल बनाया जा सकता है। ईको टूरिज्म की संस्कृति विकसित करने   के लिए सामूहिक भागीदारी की आवश्यकता है।  यह मेरे प्रशिक्षण के दौरान मेरे साथ हुआ लाल बहादुर शास्त्री राष्ट्रीय प्रशासनिक अकादमी मसूरी  और इन्दिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय वन अकादमी देहरादून में दिन में कठोर सत्र और मेरे साथियों के साथ चर्चा कि उत्तराखण्ड में प्राकृतिक विरासत पारिस्थितिक.संतुलन के संरक्षण के साथ  कैसे यात्रा का आनन्द लिया जा सकता है। पर्यटन अधिकारियों तथा वन अ धिकारियों को साथ-साथ इस पर विचार करना चाहिए कि स्थायी.विकास के साथ कैसे अपनी सुंदरता और अधिक नुकसान के बिना जंगलों का आनंद लेने के लिए यात्रियों को कैस प्रेरित किया जा सकता है। हालांकि एक सरल पहलू की ओर इशारा किया गया जिसे समझने की जरूरत है कि यह अंदर है। विभिन्न सरकारी विभागों पर्यटकों के साथ स्थानीय लोगों का अभिसरण हमारे राज्य में पारिस्थितिक रूप से स्थायी पर्यटन स्थापित करने के लिए है। अनियोजित और अस्थिर पर्यटन एक साथ जैव.विविधता को बाधित करते हैं और परिदृश्य, खराब और कुपोषित पर्यावरण को छोड़ देते हैं। पर्यावरण संरक्षक के तौर पर मेरा मानना है कि उत्तराखंड में ईको पर्यटन क्षेत्र का संचालन किया जाना चाहिए।

पर्यटन और पारिस्थितिकी को संरेखित करने में मदद करने के लिए समय-समय पर प्रतिनियुक्ति पर वन अधिकारियों को पर्यटन विभाग में भेजा जा सकता है तथा क्षेत्र के आर्थिक विकास के लिए परम्परागत खानपान की गतिविधियों को बढावा दिया जा सकता है ।

द इंटरनेशनल इकोटूरिज्म द्वारा दी गई ईको टूरिज्म की परिभाषा के अनुसार समाज में यह प्राकृतिक क्षेत्रों के लिए जिम्मेदार यात्रा है जो पर्यावरण का संरक्षण करता है और स्थानीय लोगों की भलाई में सुधार करता है ।

यात्रा बेरोज़गार का पता लगाने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका है क्यों न इस ओर ध्यान दिया जाए। प्राकृतिक स्थानों पर अभी तक दूषित नहीं होने के लिए एक इको टूरिज्म अनुभव के लिए विकल्प पारंपरिक टूर पैकेज और एक शानदार शुरुआत हो सकती है, परन्तु इससे पहले कि हम ऐसा करें एक व्यक्ति के रूप में  कैसे हो सकता है, यात्रा के हमारे विकल्पों को आंतरिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण बनाना हमारे परिवेश को प्रभावित करते हैं। एक बार जब हम बिना किसी पूर्वाग्रह के ऐसा करते हैं, तो हम पाते हैं कि हम पहले से ही हैं

पारिस्थितिक रूप से जैविक तरीके से नहीं। उत्तराखंड में मेरे एक स्कूल के दौरे पर छोटे बच्चों को कैसे एकीकृत किया जाए ईको टूरिज्म को बढ़ावा देने और वनों और वन्यजीवों के संरक्षण की प्रक्रिया एक मध्य उत्तराखंड में जंगलों के संपर्क में आने से गंभीर आशंका थी पर्यटन के नाम पर रिज़ॉर्ट संस्कृति जो वन्यजीवों के लिए एक वास्तविक खतरा है और गाँवों के स्वदेशी लोग अपनी आजीविका पर काट रहे हैं। चूंकि इको टूरिज्म है एक प्राकृतिक जगह पर जाने के बारे में इसके बारे में सीखना एक तरह से प्रकृति का संरक्षण करना पर्यटन के प्रबंधन और स्थानीय जरूरतों के बीच एक अच्छा संतुलन बनाए रखें

समुदायों  हमें और अधिक निर्माण के बजाय गृहस्थों को बढ़ावा देने की आवश्यकता है उत्तराखंड के गांवों में कपड़ों , स्थानीय परंपराओं, व्यंजनों के अपने तरीके हैं और एक अलग जीवन शैली जो अपने तरीके से अद्वितीय है। इसलिए एक इको ट्रैवलर के रूप में यह हमारा कर्त्तव्य  है कि , स्थानीय परंपराओं का सम्मान करने, नई ऊर्जा  भरने और आर्थिकी प्रदान करने की जिम्मेदारी स्थानीय लोगों को लाभ पहुंचाने वाले अवसर प्रदान करने होगें।

जबकि ईको टूरिज्म स्थानीय लोगों की सामुदायिक भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देता है, वे हैं स्थानीय गाइड, नौकरानियों और रसोइयों और होने के लिए कौशल के कुछ सेट को विकसित करने की आवश्यकता है

जैविक और निरंतर खट्टे खाद्य पदार्थ, सुरक्षा गार्ड, शिल्पकार, मूर्तिकार प्रदान करें स्थानीय संस्कृति, टैक्सी ड्राइवरों, आदि के रूप में स्मृति चिन्ह बनाने में सक्षम होने के लिए अपने लिए एक स्थिर आय उत्पन्न करें। एक बार स्थानीय लोग खुद को प्रशिक्षित करते हैं नए कौशल , पर्यटन योजना और विकास में सक्रिय रूप से शामिल हैं इको टूरिज्म का विस्तार करना बहुत आसान हो जाता है। सोशल मीडिया के आगमन के साथ विपणन कोई बड़ा काम नहीं है। सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से प्राकृतिक रूप   से सुन्दर उत्तराखंड की सुंदरता का ध्यान आकर्षित करना निश्चित है पर्यटक और यात्री अंततः सही मायनों में इको पर्यटन को बढ़ावा दे रहे हैं। अगली बार जब आप किसी टूर की योजना बनाते हैं तो सुनिश्चित करें कि आप बिना निर्माण के प्रकृति की गोद में हैं

PUT A STEP FORTH AND BE A GREEN TRAVELLER

“Take a moment.

A moment of meditation, a moment of realisation.

Take a moment of respite in the Deodar forests and rush your thoughts to

how flourished our state would be if we become responsible travellers to the

natural areas rich in flora and fauna, and help sustain local livelihood!”

This is always my general answer to anybody who is eager to know how to promote

ecotourism in Uttarakhand.

The answer seems to be simpler than it actually is not, if put in action individually but

all hands put together can make it the simplest. It occurred to me during my training

days at LBSNAA and IGNFA. The rigorous sessions and discussions with my fellow

officers on conservation of natural heritage, ecological-balance, sustainable-

development, how to enjoy the wild without damaging its beauty and more, all have

however pointed to one simple aspect which needs to be understood that, it is in

convergence of various government departments, tourists along with the locals in

order to establish ecologically sustainable tourism in our state.

Unplanned and unsustainable tourism together disrupt the bio-diversity and

landscape and leave the environment degraded and malnourished. As a

conservationist, I opine that Tourism sector of Uttarakhand must be manned by

Forest officers on deputation time to time so as to help align tourism and ecology of

the place, subsequently catering to the economic growth of the area.

Going by the definition of Ecotourism given by TIES (The International Ecotourism

Society) it is “responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment

and improves the well-being of local people”.

Travelling is the best way to explore the unexplored so why not make a conscious

choice for an ecotourism experience to natural places not yet contaminated, over a

conventional tour package and have a great head start but before we do that it is

important to internalise our choices of travel, as an individual and how they may

affect our surroundings. Once we do that without any biasness, we are already on

the way to ecotourism in a rather organic manner.

On one of my school visits in Uttarakhand, on how to integrate young kids in the

process of promoting ecotourism and conserving forests and wildlife, a middle

grader had a relevant apprehension that forests in Uttarakhand are exposed to

Resort culture in the name of tourism which is a real threat to wildlife and the

indigenous people of the villages cutting on their livelihood. Since ecotourism is

about visiting a natural place, learning about it, conserving nature in a way so as to

maintain a fine balance between management of tourism and needs of the local

communities, we need to promote homestays rather than more construction in the

area. Villages in Uttarakhand have their own way of clothing, local traditions, cuisines

and a different lifestyle which is unique in its own way. So as an eco traveller it is our

responsibility to respect and indulge in local traditions and provide economic

opportunities that benefit the local people.

While ecotourism promotes community participation of the local people, they are

required to develop some set of skills to be local guides, maids and cooks and

provide organic and sustainably sourced foods, security guards, craftsmen, sculptors

to be able to make souvenirs depicting local culture, taxi drivers, etc. so as to

generate a steady income for themselves. Once the local people train themselves in

new skills, and are actively involved in tourism planning and development, it

becomes much easier to expand ecotourism.

With the advent of social media, marketing is no more a heavy task. The natural

beauty of Uttarakhand through social media is sure to attract attention of the

tourists and travellers ultimately promoting eco tourism in a right way.

Next time you plan a tour make sure you are in the LAP OF NATURE without creating

a GAP WITHIN NATURE.
